Re: Scallions in N.S. Canada
I would love to communicate with you further. I have done some research on the ScallornScallion family in Nova Scotia but have never been able to establish a connection.
Our earliest known ancestor, Peter Scallion(s)/Scallorn appeared in Maryland in the early 1700's. In 1735, he married Ann(e) Dement, a widow of George Dement. Family tradition has it that the Scallion(s)Scallorns were Scots/Irish. Since Nova Scotia was settled by Scots, Irish, and Scots Irish, there could well be a connection.
Please post the names of any early Scallion(s)/Scallorns that you may have.
Thanks in advance for your reply
