I am searching for info. on William Taylor Scallorn/Scallions who married Nancy Elder both from Tenn. They had at least one son,Thomas Jefferson Scallorn/Scallions b.March 22,1877.Wm. and Nancy adopted a James Elder and would like more info. on this also. As my g.grandfather was Samuel Elder supposedly the son of James Elder.I Was also told he had a sister named Nancy but it is possible that this Nancy is the wrong Nancy. She was born in Tenn. and Sam was born in Ark. 1873.James Bucannan who I was told is Sam's father lived in Carlisle,Ark. and had several children one of which was a Nannie Elder. But I don't have a connection between them except on the 1900 census in Carlisle shows that Sam's uncle Boughman was living with him and his family. And through family info. Boughman was James' brother. And James' father and siblings moved here from Ill.They were in Madison county during the 1870 census James was 16yrs. of age at time.If you have anything on my family I would appreciate it and if I can help you please let me know. I work through the libraries in Lonoke and Conway,Ark. for marriage, death and census records.I am also taking request for cemetery photos of headstones for a reasonable price.I take photos of headstones in Arkansas and Missouri.
