Edgecombe Co NC to Burke Co. Ga (Jefferson,Lee etc)

I have two Scarborough lines-and both came out of Burke Co. Ga. (The Burke
Co. Scarborough's came from Edgecombe Co NC)

Turner Scarborough-War of 1812 Soldier born a 1773-died before the 1850
Cenus in Lee Co. Ga.

By 1820 Census he was in Jefferson Co. Ga. 1821 in Burke Co. Ga. 1830 Census
Burke-and by 1840 Lee Co. Ga.

In 1850- and 1840- Jesse Scarborough was also in Lee-and had been in
Jefferson at another time.

Jesse still had all his children-and there were Scarboroug teens spread all
over the county-some with folks I haveyet to identify.

My Amelia was with her sister Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Griffin and
later her children were with her sister Julia
and her husband Enos Jourdan.Amelia's husband Daniel Hooks appeared in
just one census-1860, and then died in the Civil War. She died when the
children -2 boys-were teens. So only in one more census.

One of Turner's sons-William Harrison Hand born 1820-after his Father's
death-went to Laurens Co. Ga. and married there- Permelia Matilda
Bracewell-whose Mother was Elizabeth Scarborough. I think sh ewas dtr. of
William who died 1823, and Williamand Sarah son of Ephriam 1751- abt 1811?
and Rachel
Ephraim son of William Meredith born a 1690 Accomac Co Va died 1735 Isle of
Wight Co Va.
(He also had son David who married Nanny Dunn)

Permelia M. Bracewell-at the time of her marriage inDec. 1850-had been in
this census-the same year

She was living with Drury Scarborough previously-I am told. I do not know
how these folks tie together-and would surely love to.

My Other line is Mildred Louisa born 20 Jul 1797-in Burke, died 29 Nov 1873
Putnam Co. Ga. according to the death notice in the newspaper. She married
1816 John Collinsworth- Circuit-Horseback riding Methodist preacher.This
couple was at least in Madison, Morgan Co Ga. before Putnam.

I would love to exchange on the Scarborough's of this time and place...
