I have been looking for our family records from Poland. We were listed as Schlompecks on the 1920 census, and I have been researching the variations of phonetic spellings of our now slomback name, I have seen records on Betty Shambach, Several Texas records come up when variations of the name are entered into the usgen web archive search engine. Schabach, schanbach, scharbach, schellbach schnelbach. My relatives have lipinsky cousins.
Henry Schlompeck born 1885
Kathrine or Katharzyna 1895
three children Charles(ciezslo), John Andrew, Henry
So far are records include New york, New Jersey, Florida, Mass. and other eastern states.Searches have found alot of these name variations in MN. PA. MASS. Fl. NY. NJ.
OH and SD.If you are still working on your tree can you give me a hollar.
Thanks a bunch and good luck!
