Thanks for the reply. However, I continue to have a strong belief that Johannes Casper, Sr. was Holland Dutch rather than German Dutch. The name is German, but his heritage is Holland. My most authenic source was from Wesley Shell who was a grandson of Casper Schell, Jr.Wesley was my great uncle. Wesley's great grandfather was Johannes Casper Schell, Sr.Wesley told me this in 1949 when he was 98 years old. He was of sound mind, and told me this without hesitation.He was proud of the Dutch heritage. I believe that Johannes Casper, Sr. was born in the Netherlands. His family may have come from Germany, but that is conjecture. I have done some searching of the records in the Netherlands. It would be very helpful to have Johannes Casper, Sr's. parents names.
