Simeon Schell B. Feb 26, 1819 married Elizabeth Dygert b. Mar 7, 1821 daughter of Peter Deuchert and Elizabeth Helmer.
Come of these children were found in the 1850 census of Orelans, Jefferson Co.
1) William Henry b. July 21, 1837. He was baptized Feb 24 1839 and the sponsors were: John a. Folts and Catharina
2) Mary 1839 married to Geroge Canute
3) Philo F. 1841
4) Nancy Catherine 1843
5) George W. 1845/46
6) Jerome 1848
7) Elizabeth 1850 married Willis Wightman
8) Helen 1852 married Joel Avery
9) William Alburtus 1854 d. June 13, 1929 married on Nov. 25, 1878 Emogene Caroline Brett
10) Charles Madison (twin) born in Fremont NY Aug 1, 1858 d. Mar 18, 1933 Tacoma, Pierce Co., Washington
11) Harriet Adelia (twin) born Fremont NY Aug 1, 1858 married Nathaniel Irving Downs married second a Mr. Drake.
12) D. Ellsworth (couldn't find anything more on him.
Simeon was the son of : John J. Schell, Jr. who was married on Feb. 19, 1815 to Anna HIlts. b. Jan 1793 d. Dec 10, 1892 at Fremont, Stueben Co., NY She was the daughter of John G. Hilts and Maria (who was the the widow of Joseph Bell).
JOhn fought inthe battle of 1812 adn was stationed at Sackett's Harbor.About 1837they moved from their farm to Stone Mills, Jefferson Co., NY In the spring of 1855 they moved to Haskinsville, Stueben co., NY John had 7 sons and 8 dau.
