Re: Benjamin Schenck married Eliza Kinnier of Smithville, Chenango County, NY @1878
The following is an extract from a genealogical posting : -
" 30. Benjamin Freeman Schenck, VIII., son of John
(3) and Parna (Sullivan, Gorham) Schenck, was born
at Plainville, N, Y., January 11, 1854, and December
31, 1874, married Ella Eliza Chittenden, daughter of
Samuel Mallory and Julia Eliza (Parish) Chittenden.
She was born at Baldwinsville, N. Y., December 24,
Eighth Generation 85
They had three children: —
80 I. Julia was born at Plainville, N. Y., January i,
1877, and died January 14, 1877.
8i II. Lisle John, born June 10, 1879. See p. 106.
83 III. Elsie May, born May 7, 1881. See p. 106.
Benjamin Freeman Schenck (30) died at Plainville,
March 13, 1906. Ella Eliza (Chittenden) Schenck:
Address, Plainville, N. Y."
Please note also the second child is a son named namedLisle' which I believe is the correct spelling for your reference to 'Lise'.
If you feel (as I do) that this is a match for your enquiry I suggest that you look at, or download, the e-book at: -
Alternatively, you will also find Benjamin Freeman Schenck b. 1811 in New York and his children on the website : -
I do hope that this will help you to restart your research.
One simple tip - Always start looking for such information simply by enteringvariations such as :
Benjamin Schenck Family History
in a 'Google' Search and see what comes up. If nothing relevant appears, then try adding the year 1811, or born New York etc.
Having found nothing relevant about Benjamin on my own Schenck Family computer records, that is how I found these websites - and that is how I always start searching for any new names etc., and it has repeatedly produced some amazing results over many years now.
With warm good wishes,
