Re: Schendel family from Posen - 1608

Hello to all Schendels:
I’ve found this forum. In last year wrote me Travor from Arizona. I think we are’nt relatives.
The text „Schendel family from Posen – 1608“ ist very interesting. Maybe that Christian is a ancestor.
My father, grandfather and grandmother lived in Scharnikau (today Czarnkov). From Posen to Scharnikau this are about 60 km to the north.
My grandfather (he was butcher) and his family were driven away in 1945.
My father said me that his father spoke about a relative who went to America about 1870...1880.

It’s interesting that „Schendel“ early was written as „Szendel“.
