HiLaura, my name is Joanie Melancon Schendel.I am married to one of your third cousins Jeffry Loren Schendel. We live in Crowley, LA (southwest LA/cajun country). As you can tell by my maiden name I am not of German desent, I am very much Cajun French. Jeff and I will probably be in MN sometime this April for a few months, where do your parents live in MN and who are they. Jeff's dad, who just passed away January 8, 2008 at the age of 91, was William Windhorst Schendel, born in Olivia, MN 12/9/1916. Eric Schendel is Jeff's first cousin, his dad was Loren, Jeff's uncle.This is so great to be able to talk with other Schendel's from all over the U.S. Do stay in touch please.
