Hello, Scherer cousins.A few years ago, I visited Ottweiler and was allowed to study the Lutheran Church books.Here's what the birth record for Jakob Daniel said:No. 424Oberbettsbach (now Oberbexbach, a part of the city of Bexbach) 11 Nov 1726 was born to Joh. Nicklas Scherer and wife Maria Katherina a young son and on 15 Nov baptized Jakob Daniel.Some other Scherer related records I was able to copy were: 1685 birth of Johannes Nicklas; 1653 marriage of Johannes Gross and Magdalena Bollmann; 1660 baptism of Anna Catharina Gross; 1723 and 1729 baptisms of sons of Johann Theobald Scherer (Jakob Daniel's uncle); 1722 baptism of Georg Theobald Scherer (Jakob Daniel's brother).Sorry--I should have put those in chronological order.If there is any information you would like from these records, please let me know.I would love to orrespond with some newly-found cousins.Barbara Dooley
