I am a Schermerhorn

Hi!I am a Schermerhorn in California.My grandfather, Wm. Theodore Schermerhorn, was born in the late 1800's.His father was Theodore Schermerhorn, who was married to Anne Sherlock.My Grandfather was born in Cornville, New York then moved to Schnectady or Syracuse.He had a sister named Maude Schermerhorn.His Cousin Bob Schermerhorn came to my grandfather in the early 50's for him to return and see her, but could not make the trip at that time.This Bob Schermerhorn was in the US Navy.Need help in finding our lineage.Any help would be appreciated.
