I find the name patterns here very interesting.My wife is a descendant of John Louis Schamerhorn b.Feb 1877,Springfield, MO.He married 1905, Indian Territory, Gladys Majors.They had:

Albert Joseph Schamerhorn
Lora Bell Schamerhorn
Violet Marie Schamerhorn
Louis Edgar Schamerhorn
Clarence Vernon Schamerhorn
Earl Schamerhorn
Charles Alfred Schamerhorn

John Louis Schamerhorn was the son of John Schamerhorn b.1842, OH.He had a brother Hiram Schamerhorn b.1835, OH.I do not know the names of their parents.The first time I find Hiram is in the 1870 census of Nodaway Co, MO and the first time I find John is the 1870 census of Buchanan Co, MO.

In re-reading postings on the Schenectady branch, I've seen the name Clarence, Hiram, Alfred, Albert, Louis and Edgar.In the 1880 census of Jasper Co, MO; John gives the birth place of his parents as NY.I strongly doubt that the name patterns and birth place of his parents as NY is just a coincidence; but I have how John and Hiram connect back to NY.
