The NYG&BRecord has information on the Ten Eyck family and other sources say that Jannitje Schermerhorn married Andries Ten Eyck after Johannes Jansen died and had two children.Gerrieie Ten Eyck born Sept 15, 1764, and Jacob A. Ten Eyck, christened Dec. 20, 1772, in Schodack, New York.
With Johannes Jansen, Jannitje had daughter Elisabeth, christened Jan 19, 1751, and a son Jacob who must have died young.
Elisabeth Jansen married Coenradt A. Ten Eyck (known as Bush Coenradt) and according to the Ten Eyck family info she died shortly after, after watching her husband fight with an indian (s).He remarried shortly thereafter.
Anthony Vanderpoel, son of Anthony Vanderpoel and Jacomyntje Van Seyl, married Elisabeth Jansen, daughter of Willem Jansen and Maria Elisabeth Lauck.This Jansen family moved in to the Schodack area and Elissabeth's brother Nicholas was baptized there in 1772.Some researchers are confusing the two women and I am hoping to clarify the information.Please contact me if you have any information on Jannitje's daughter Elisabeth.thanks.
