houck connection

The Houcks are another Dutch New York family. My grandmother was a Houck (I believe of New York) - and I know she was related to the Schermerhorns of New York - I would love to know more about this connection between these two families to understand my Dutch lineage. Does anybody know about this? Perhaps the New York Times archives could help, as she was quite social, but I can't access the article talking listing her marriage to my grandfather.
