I am a Shick descendant.My great grandfather changed
the spelling to SCHICK -- a commercial move on his
part since he ran a millinary store in Philadelphia
and wanted the name to show the European influence.
The MichaelShick mentioned on the GenForum message
board was my g-g-g-g-grandfather. My records show
11 children as listed below --

Michael Shick married Margaretta Guth on July 3, 1759.
