SCHIEBER, SCHIEBAR SCHIABOR

My name is Karen Schiabor Summers and I live in Albuquerque New Mexico.I have five children.Anyway, here is what I know about the Schiebers.My father is named George John Schiabor and he was born in New Jersey in 1929. I have figured out that they changed the spelling of the name, I don't know why.His father was also named George John Schiabor and he was born in New York City in 1906 (I'm really not sure about this because he may have been born in Austria and they just lied about him being born in New York).Anyway, his father is listed on marriage and birth and death certficates as John Schiaber and Joseph Schiabor.I have researched Ellis Island records and I think he was Josef Schieber with several brothers also coming over and all living in New York City around 1900.Please email me with any info because I really want to find out about my great great grandfather Schieber and any living [email protected]
