Barry, thanks for the interest, but no connection to Schiff family in shoe business in Ohio. My GGF Morris Schiff came from Palonga Lith. to NYC and was in the furniture business.Was the founder of a schul about 1915 that is still operating.
I do have relatives in S. Africa that use the Sifris spelling and others here that spell it Shiff.Most famous relative is Sol Schiff (now 84) who was the world champion table tennis player for many years.
