On January 13, 1725, Elizabeth, wife of Christian Schlecht[y], was godmother to Elizabeth Bruecker
at the child's baptism at the Protestant church of
Fouday, Bas Rhin, Alsace. Elizabeth, one of a set
of twins, was the daughter of Peter and Christine
Bruecker [or Bricker]. Years later, a Christian
Schlechty was involved in land transactions with
Peter Bricker in Cocalico Township, Lancaster
County, PA. The Brueckers, probably like the
Schlecht[y]s, were of the Reformed/Calvinist
faith and of Swiss-Bernese origin.
This record was found in the church records of
Waldersbach, Bas Rhin, Alsace.
