In response to your quest on info on Richard W. Schoonmaker, I am the daughter of his son, Richard Warren Schoonmaker, who I thought was named after him. My Father's Mother was Sylvia Z. Frear, I have that she was born in Rock Rapids, Iowa on May 30, 1885.She had two daughters from a previous marriage to a Mr. Stockwell, their names were Alyce and Lenora. In about 1809 I have that she married Richard Schoonmaker and their children were:Sylvia born in 1910 in Lemon, SD
Helen born in 1912 in Frankfort, SD
Richard Warren Schoonmaker born in 1914 in Walews ND
Francene born in 1916 in (don't know)
Woodrow Wilson Schoonmaker born in 1918 in Aurora, Mn.
David Jesse Schoonmaker born in 1920 in Aurora, Mn.
Wallace Reed Schoonmaker born in Aurora, Mn.
I have that they were divorced in 1923 and then my Grandmother married Bertram Haney in about 1927.
My cousin, daughter of Woodrow, who was killed in Okinawa
in 1945, has requested info from me on them since she knew
nothing about them, she was raised by a stepfather in another state. She and her husband are doing a search on the Schoonmaker family in the Morman Library and she will be seding me all the info they find out, they are back four generations already and still working on it.I will send it on to you if you will send me any info you have that I might not know about. Please feel to E-mail me any time you would like to at [email protected], I will look forward to hearing from you.Yours truly, Caroljean Howdeshell.
