How does this connect to Old One Arm John Scott and Margaret Thorton 1706 -1774.

I am in the same boat.Carruthers,Scott,Morrison are common connecting family from early Pa,Va, into early NC, to Ky & TN.
Of the 1770's unions there are what look like three Scott lines marring Carruthers , we beleave these Scott's are the same lines of early Scotland.

In 1790 Ky We have James Carothers & Nancy Scott
Jim's cousin Robert is married to Marg Scott
living in TN.
John Scott's son's Thomas married Nancy Carothers
William married Grizzel Carothers
This is Jessamine Co,KY late 1790's early 1800's.
I am member of the Carothers/Neely lines married to William Morrison & Janet Hall line.
