Nicholas Hale Scribner, born 1805,Corinth Vermont-died 1779 written as such on his gravestone in Highland Cemetery, Harrison Township, Mahaska county, Iowa-buried with his wife Nancy Baker Younger-
his father was Benjamin Scribner born 1772
and his mother Martha Knight-
Benjamin's father, who was also Benjamin Scribner born 1745-??
I am told he was in the American Revolution and fought at Bennington possibly?
Do you know any of the burial sites in Vermont? I am told Benjamin 1745 is
buried in Vermont-there are alot of Scribner buried also in Maine-
there are some burial grounds listed on a few websites-I will have to look up the sites if you want to look at them-
