Amy - I will help you. I have some data on your Lewis B. Scribner third child of Lewis Smith Scribner. You Lewis B. was born in 1802 in NC. He was a Pvt Co B. 5th Ill Foot Volunteers, Mexican War 1846-47. He died on 10Dec1895 in Shelby Co, Ill (he is buried in the Long Grove Cemetery, (Atterbury Cemetery) in Macon Co, Ill. He married his first wife Sarah Francis Hill on 26Mar1840 in Shelby Co, Ill. Her father was Thomas Hill & her mother was Nancy Massey. Sarah Hill died on 12Feb1871 in Macon Co, Ill. He married his second wife Elizabeth Keziah Gordon on 7Apr1874 in Shelby Co, Ill Please e-mail me at [email protected]. I did not know he had a son named Clem. This is new data for me.
