We have tried in vain to establish that a James Brinkley Scribner married Dorothy Smith
and was Pleasant's father.
The problem with this is that the eldest son was Lewis Smith Scribner born in 1762.
There were for certain Brinkleys in thay area in those days. I just have not been able to connect to them. If you got your data from WFT's CDs you might want to hold off for awhile.
