Dr. Joel Scudder b.1767 m. Dewey

I see online Dr. Joel Scudder Jr. b. 3 may 1767 m1. Mary A. Doty and m2. Dorothy Dewey.
The problem is that I see the father for Joel listed as Timothy (Timothy, Thomas, Thomas, Henry) OR I see him with father, Seth, (Ezekiel, Benjamin, Thomas, Thomas, Henry).
Is there some Scudder genealogist out there who feels they have it right and some documentation to back it up?!
