Samuel Scudder (possible son of Samuel S. & Phebe Titus), married Deborah, NY

According to Riker's "Annals of Newtown," Samuel Scudder (son of Samuel Scudder and Phebe Titus) married Deborah _____, and his daughter Mary is known to have married Peter Renne, as mentioned in his 1756 will.

Yet other than this mention by Riker, there is no evidence that I have found that Samuel is the son of Samuel Scudder and Phebe Titus. And in fact, though he was alive, he was not mentioned in Phebe's 1743 will. I do not know of a will for Samuel Sr.

Does anyone have any other info that would shed light on who are the parents of this Samuel Scudder?
