To the person looking for info on Olive Blanche Scudder.I, too, am researching.I was adopted into that family.Her daughter Eva Eakins, was my great Aunt.Her other daughter, Edna Eakins, was my Grandmother.Aunt Eva married Vance Densmore.I've been trying to research him and got to Stewiacke, Nova Scotia and hit a dead end.My G'ma Edna Eakins, married a Hanahan; had 3 kids and divorced and married Ray Filener.The oldest was Edward Hanahan, deceased; next is Blanche Marie Hanahan, who adopted me as a baby; next is Dale Hanahan.Then, with Ray Filener, there was Ray Filener, Jr., deceased; David Fred Filener; Jenice Filener.There are more details, but I'm pretty sure we are different branches from same Great Grandmother.Since I am adopted, I have no information to go on.So, I have opted to research Uncle Vance's line.I think he comes from the Acadians who were ousted from Canada after the French & Indian War.They were sent south.Some in Maine and New England area and many in Louisiana.Cajun speech is a garbled slang for Acadian.There is a mixture of French in it, too.(I'm pulling all this from memory.)Maybe we can help each other?
