Charles was born, 26 Dec 1874, eldest of four children of August and Emma (Anderson) Sederholm.August was born 1852; Emma died in 1914, age 61.In 1878, August emigrated to New York City and located to Osceola, Clearfield County, PA, where he was a miner. In 1895, he moved to Belt, MT, where he was a farmer and stock raiser until retirement in 1918.
Charles was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and his first job was in trapping doors in coal mines.He remained employed in the coal mines until 1896 when he moved to Belt, MT, where he was employed in the coal mines of the Anaconda Copper Mining Co.In 1900, he became foreman of those mines, but after three years he moved to Cokedale, MT, where he was foreman for three years.The next year he was foreman of coal mines at Bridger, MT, then was connected with coal mines at Nashua, MT, until 1912. From there he went to Tracy, MT, where he was superintendent of the Anaconda Copper Mining coal mines.
On 23 Jan 1900, Charles married Elizabeth W. Herron, born in Barton, MD, daughter of Francis and Laura (Kight) Herron, both born in Barton, MD.Mr. Herron came to Miles City, MT, in 1882; going from there to Lignite, and later to Timberline, MT, where he was employed as a miner, eventually moved to Tracy, MT.
Sederholm children: Helen, Cecil, Jack, Frank, Lois, Billie, Fay, Fred; attended Sand Coulee schools.

Elizabeth W. Sederholm died 5 Feb 1969, age 86, Cascade Co., MT
