By Morris C. LeFever May 31, 2003 at 09:14:19

Seib or Sipe was a rare name, including in Frederick Co. Maryland in the late 1700's.Seib researchers should go to Sipe and Sype forums.John Daniel Wotring (later Woodring & earlier Vautrin because of the German pronunciation) married a Sussanah (Seib (Sipe) March 7, 1786 in Graceham, Frederick Co. MD. She was the daughter of Paulus Sipe and Mary. She was born in Bavaria Germany.
MY ancestors are from Graceham area and include a Nimrod Duvall & wife Rebecca Waters, who as his guardian in 1803 in Warrren Co. Ohio approved the underage marriage of Charles Sipe to a Kindle. The father of Charles was Roland.Waters, Devall, Jackson, Lefever / Lefevre, Balsel/ Baltzell, Fulton & Pope were families in the Graceham area, Emmittsburg DistrictMD in the late 1700's.
