Mrs. Lula Lee Gaines, 64, a well known and beloved resident of Chattooga Co., died in
Trion hospital Wednesday morning, August 2, at 1 o’clock after a lingering illness.She is
survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Ida May Garner, Mrs. Myrtle Ramey of Trion; Mrs. Maude
Canada of Menlo; 4 sons, Raymond of Trion; Jessie and Gordon of Summerville and Lloyd of
Rome; five sisters and two brothers and several other relatives.Funeral services were conducted
from the South Summerville Baptist Church Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock, interment was at
Alpine Cemetery with Trion Department store in charge.
