Good Morning, Elizabeth
My Sembach family---Charles Christian Sembach opened a meat market in Chicago in 1869 and in 1880 he moved to South Evanston and opened a meat market there.
He had Fred, Charles,jr. William, Matilda, Henry, Rosa, George and Sophie.I find Fred in 1893 working for theC & N W Ry and we do know he had wooden leg.William moved to Sioux City and is our ancester,Henry and George both moved to Californis. Is it possible that your Ferdinand comes from the Fred line or the Charles's line?I can find nothing more on Fred after 1893.And I don't know the children of Charles jr. children.Maybe we can connect, sure hope so.Thanks a lot, Fern Sembach
