Re: Philip Sensebach, son of Johann Philip?
I just found out yesterday that my G4GM is Catharina SENSEBACH (there are many variations of the spelling in the book I looked at). She and husband, Johann Jost FRANS (also with variations), had Joseph FRANTZ on 17 May 1778. They had other children, too.
The book has records from the Brick Reformed Dutch Church in the Town of Mongomery (very near the Village of Montgomery NY), dating from earlier in the 18th C into the 19th C. The author said she transcribed from microfilmed church records held by the NYS Archives. She doesn't mention if the older ones are in Dutch or not.
If you can't find the book, perhas you can get hold of the microfilm through interlibrary loan - perhaps your state library can borrow the films for you if the local library now won't? I'm going to see if I can find the book to buy.
There are many SENSEBACH entries in quite a wide variation of spellings.
