Re: Need SEPTER researchers help !!
Thanks for providing the Catholic connection, I had thought it was probably the case as most records I have come across have referred to St. Vincent's. After living for several years in PA that usually means the birth was registered with the parish church.
My husband's name is William Henry Marshall,III.
As well as I can piece together, Joseph B. Septer(1820)and wife Catherine with children, Lydia, Thomas Henry and Sara moved west to Davenport, Iowa about 1858-59. Thomas Henry-b. 1855, Brush Creek, PA married Eva Jeanette Vanscoy in 1886 in Iowa and had daughter, Hazel Septer 04 Oct 1896 in Des Moines, IA. Hazel married William Henry Marshall and had one child, William Henry Marshall, Jr. born 05 Dec 1919 in Des Moines. William married Bernice Louise Wolf 29 Dec 1942 and had three children William Henry III(1946), Thomas Otto(1948) and Kathlenn Ann(1951).
Most of the family research was done by my mother-in -law and was just direct descendants with little history or tracing of the siblings lines. I have recently started to work on the various branches.
Thanks for your helpful information.
