Re: Elias Sharpe/Mary Proctor/John Parks/Mary Sharp – Part 1
To add to this discussion I would like to point out an inadvertant mistake I made in referring to the actual landing location of the Rappahannock Merchant in April of 1726. The ship landed at Port Rappahannock, also known as Queenstown, Lancaster County, Va. The William Ball Plantation known as Millenbeck was adjacent. This would be Christ Church Parish for those wishing to research further.
Jim - can you tell me if Elias was given a 7 year or 14 year term? Apparently both he and William Longmire were charged with the same offense.
I find it fascinating that both fellows ran in the same social circles to a degree, witnessed deeds, served on juries, etc. after such an auspicious start here in America.
Thanks for the contributions.
