Re: sharpe family east end of london
Pleased to hear from you, first of all i,m afraid my SHARPES @ KINGS come from each side of my parents families. but heres what i,ve got anyway on the SHARPE SIDE.
IT,S NOT A LOT AS I,VE JUST STARTED REALLY
MY grandfather ALFRED SHARPE born 2 OCT. 1902 at 80 JUBILEE BUILDINGS WAPPING.married my gran LAURA AGNESS PARKER on the29 JUNE 1930 at ST. MARYS CHURCH in WHITECHAPEL.
his father THOMAS SHARPE aged 58 married LOUISA OWERS aged 43 on 24 JUNE 1901 at ST. PAULS CHURCH in the parish of WHITECHAPEL county of MIDDLESEX.They were both widowed.
Apparently still to check ALFRED was put into a home and later taken in by a PERCY OWERS maybe related to his mother have to check as he has 2 living sons who are airline pilots.
THOMAS @ LOUISA gave thier addresses as 222@223 KATHERINE BUILDING i expect also in WHITECHAPEL.i have been told that THOMAS @ LOUISA HAD 2 OTHER CHILDREN but yet to find out wheather together or previous marriages probable the latter.
Finally THOMAS,s father WILLIAM SHARPE yet to find anything on him. l think i have found THOMAS SHARPE,S first marriage in 1886 also in WHITECHAPEL am waiting for cert. to see.
ALFRED SHARPE worked on the railways
THOMAS SHARPE was a LAVERTORY ATTENDENT which was a good job in them days plenty of tips maybe.
WILLIAM SHARPE was a carman.
any of these ring any bells let me know and yes there is a very large family now as well
