Re: My SHARRAI Line
I saw your message in the Genealogy.commessage board and was thrilled to see that someone else is researching the Sharrai family. I have been in a wheelchair for a year and a half now and have had to give up a job that I dearly loved. I had been doing research on my family for over 20 years and now found that my hobby has become a life saver to keep me busy. Anyway, I have also started doing the lineage of my friends and really enjoying it. My friend who now lives in Vancouver Washington has stared me on her line and she is the great grand daughter of Mary Louise Sharrai who was born 22 May 1866 in Kansas and died 7 June 1913 when she was struck by lightening. She was the daughter of Napoleon Sharrai Jr and Mary Louisa Stamp.
So far I have traced the family back to Barthelemy Hugon Jarret born in 1420 in France and died 1506 also in France.
Do you know why the name changed with Bartholomew Charest Dit Beauregard and again to Jarret?
The line I have is
Barthelemy Hugon Jarret
Pierre Hugon Jarret
Jaque min Jarret
Antoine Charest Dit Beauregard
Bartholomew Charest Dit Beauregard
Mary Louise Sharrai
Is this correct or can you make any corrections? I would love any information that you could share.
Thank you. Mary Jo
