I received a message from someone who is doing a regimental history. This is what he said about George T.'s capture:
He was captured near the end of the war, at the last major action in the Shenandoah valley, Called Waynesboro, Virginia. the 36th Va with the rest of General Earlys Corp was licking there wounds from the Last great battle in the valley of Virginia, just 75 miles North (of Waynesbore) and 20 miles south of Winchester (called Cedar Creek)
Waynesboro, Va.The 36th took the biggest hit during the war, with some 170 men captured.
How is your wife linked?
