Your right the family did come from Germany around 1726. The Family name was Nicholas Nicholson who was born 10-19-1775 he married Mary Washburn born 7-12-1773. They were married 5-26-1798. The family tree our actually decendents of Alexander the Great. I found that facinating. I have my grandfathers diary from 1904. My grandfather was Carl Nicholas Shaver. And again you are correct, because we are all over the united states. Even in Hawaii where I live. I am married with 4 children of my own.

I hope I continue to learn more of our family tree.
