Re: Shaver Family, Montgomery & Pike Co.,AL
I don't know if this will be of any help to you.I come through George Shaver, b. abt 1795, had son George G. Shaver, b. abt 1818 in AL.George G. m. Comfort Sullivan in 1841 in Montgomery co. AL.I found the names George P., George, Washington, Henry, and James all listed on the land records for St. Stephan from 1841 to 1854.I believe all of these Shavers are related, but don't know how, except that George p is thought to be the father of George G. and maybe the others are also sons of George P.I am not familar with Montgomery, AL.Is St. Stephans a township of Montgomery, AL?
By 1860 my George G. and wife Comfort Sullivan Shaver are in Sevier Co. AR, later, by 1870, they are in Sebastian Co. AR.By 1870, Aaron Shaver, son of George G. and Comfort Shaver marries Elizabeth McClanahan of Sebastian Co. AR.Aaron dies or is gone by 1880.Daughter Parlalee Shaver, b. 1871 in Sebastian Co. AR , m. Thomas Campion, b. 1866, Tuscaloosa Co. AL, in 1890, Sebastian Co. AR.Sadly, Paralee, my grt grandma died the next year of child bed fever after giving birth to a daughter, Pearl, my grandma, who also died very young.
