In doing newspaper research, I found the following obituaries which I believe are for Joseph Shields (husband ofSarah "Sally" Camden--the parents of Eveline Shields [Bell]) and for Joseph's father [Eveline's grandfather] James Shields.

Lexington Intelligencer – Saturday, May 8, 1824
-----On yesterday morning, at his residence in this county, after a lingering illness, Mr. JOSEPH SHIELDS, for some time a respectable member of the Baptist Church.In his death, an amiable wife and four children mourn the loss of husband and father—Society a valuable member.His closing scene upon earth was one of rejoicing triumph in that Redeemer who alone can take from death its sting, from the grave, its victory over sinking mortality.***NOTE from Tandy Shields--Joseph Shields is buried near Riverside at Neriah Baptist Church cemetary with a number of Camdens.

Staunton Eagle – Friday, November 20, 1807
-----In Lexington on the 9th inst., after an illness of seven days, Mr. JAMES SHIELDS of that County.Mr. Sheilds [spelled that way in the text--noted by Tandy Shields] resided for a number of years in that county, & sustained the character of a good neighbor, an affectionate and tender husband and parent, and a man of exemplary piety.
