I read with interest your "Shirets in London" information.I was brought up in Deptford, my father was Albert Charles Shiret and lived in Deptford all his life.He was born in 1901 and lived in Evelyn Street, Deptford as a child.I would be very interested for any more information about this name asit is very uncommon and when I was a child there were only about 3 or 4 names in the telephone directory.
