The FamilySearch database of the 1880 Census, Spencerville, Allen, OH:Sol. WEIN, 52, PA PA PA, foreman in wood factory; wf. Sarah, 49, PA PA PA; two daus. b. PA: Rose, 28, & Clara, 24; children b. OH:William, 20; Emmet, 14 Everett, 9; & Eva, 9; granddau. Olie Belle WEIN, 3, OH. [FamilySearch shows William, b. 1859, went to Delpha {Delphos?}, VanWert Co., OH.]
Spencer, Allen, OH, 1880:Joseph MONROE, 32, OH VA NY; wf. Mollie, 26, PA PA PA; ch. John B., 9; James, 7; & Asa, 2. {Unless you have the marriage record, you might consider whether Mollie was a second wife, since she would have been only 16 in 1870. Her age fits between Rose and Clara, so it's probably correct.}

The will of Gabriel KLINE of Colebrookdale, Berks, PA, pr. 18 May 1819, named wf. Maria; grandson Christian SCHANER, son of dau. Catharine; dau. Anna Mary, in trust for her ch. by Jacob ROTH, decd.; dau. Catharine, now wf/o Ludwig WEAN; & Maria, wf/o Henry GEYER, ex.Wit. John STAUFFER & John SWEINHART.--note that before 1819, Catharine was apparently widow of a S(C)HANER and wf/o Ludwig WEAN. {WEIN?}
I can't put my finger on it, but these seem to lead back to Melchior SHANER.The will of Peter KLINE of New Hanover, pr. 3 Apr. 1801, left everything to his wf. Margaret; executor was Andrew SHINER & wit. Wm. REIFSNIDER.That sounds like the Andreas SHANER (s/o Melchior) who m. 21 May 1771, Juliana REIFSCHNEIDER.Also, Melchior's son Peter went to Maryland, and most of Peter's sons went to western Pennsylvania.A more recent Peter in this line had son Henry SHANER (28 D 1809 - 6 N 1881) m. 15 Dec. 1831, Catherine KLEIN; & his brother Eli(as) (1812 - bef. 1860) m. 9 Jan. 1834, Hannah KLEIN.Henry was 70 in 1880, Allegheny, Westmoreland, PA; Cath., 69, with ch. Eli, 38; Margaret, 37; & Hannah, 35.
It's your turn to see what you can do with this. :-)
