Thanks John for your quick reply, I do appreciate it.Yes, I would like for you to keep in touch via email if you will be so kind, and it's ok to use [email protected]

Wow, this is even closer than I thought being my grandpa John's older brother, and if I have this right this would make George my dad's uncle, and my great uncle. My dad was Paul Phillip Shoop 7/3/1893 - 10/14/1966.My mom Sara C (Kunkle) Shoop 5/7/1901 - 6/9/1969, from New Kensington, PA. They married On June 23, 1926 (what a birthday present I was for them 8 years later). They had 6 children: Paul Richard - 1927; Ralph Leonard - 1928; Dawin Frank - 1929; Sara Frances - 1932; John George - 1934 and Alvin Ellsworth SHOOP - 1936. There are only two of their children alive, my sister, Sara Frances Belli, matriarch, and myself, patriarch of the Shoop Clan from grandparent's John and Armena Shoop. I do slightly remember grandma Armena. My Dad Paul and Uncle Earl Shoop where their onlytwo children that I knew.Their siblings were taken by I believe, Typhoid Fever.

Yes, I do barely remember Aunt Vine, and enjoyed the article you enclosed.I must have at least seen your mother Joyce Poole Snowden, but I have no recall of such.I remember meeting William Wallace Shoop, and believe he was dad's half brother.Yes, I knew several of the boys from Shoop's Tavern.

What a trip down memory lane today thinking back on my heritage from such a great family. When I settle from all the excitement, I'll figure out yours and my relationship.

Thanks again John, and looking forward to keeping in touch.John Shoop
