Christine,
Sorry I did't get back to you sooner.I had no access to the Internet for tha past couple of months.I had a house fire and had to move until the damage was repaired,I'm back now, so replys should be quicker.
John P had a son, Isaac, b about 1829 and 2 daughters, Sarah, b abt 1843 and Louisa, b abt 1847.The only other thing I know about John P Sickler is he was married to Permelia (?) and he lived past 1880, since he was listed on the 1880 US Census. The 1840 Census reports that John and Permelia had 3 living children, 2 boys and 1 girl.At that point, Isaac is one of the boys. The other boy and girl are unknown to me.
I can't find any siblings for John, although I know he must have had a few. There were a lot of Sickler families living in Coeymans around that time.
If you have other information that might help, please let me know.Even if it's speculative, please forward it.I am in touch with a couple of Coeymans historians who are doing some legwork for me.They can check out what spec information you might forward.
By the way, I've followed John P's line down to my cousin in Massachusetts. Her mother was a Sickler in Direct line back to John.
Hope to hear from you soon.
