Dear Veronica
Since I wrote to you I had a closer look for your William and Letitia and found his will.
He died as you said on 8th July 1921 at Dudley and his will was administrated from London to Letitia and was to the value of 453 pounds 9 shillings and was granted on the 21st Nov 1921.The address is given Dudleywood Farm, Newtown.
I am not sure who his parents are and feel obtaining his marriage certificate might be in your best interest.
I think he was the William who was lodging with his mother Elizabeth on the 1881 census at 19 Newtown Lane, Dudley. He appears to be with her and his sibling – Elizabeth born 1874, Maria 1876, and Esther 1878.They are lodging with Eli Ru(o)bery and his wife Esther. Also there is a William Sidaway born 1858 and his wife Annie born 1860 and their daughter Annie born 1880.
However there is another William born about the same time to Simon and Betsy. As Simon and his family also appear on the 1881 Cenus they are certainly two different families – we do need that marriage cert!
Three possible marriages one in 1889 and two others in 1893all at Dudley.
Regards
Dorothy
