Hi Posie,David Sigmon who married Rebecca Murray in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on Jan. 6, 1861, was the son of George Sigmon and Elinor Hitz. Here is the Sigmon line as I have it: George Sigmon of Tinicum Twp., Bucks County, Pa. married Barbara Bisbing.They had: Barbara 1748, Margaretha 1750, Balthasar 1753, George 1756, Susanna 1757, Bernhard 1762 and Heinrich 1764. George Jr. was born in Feb. 1756 and was baptised at Christ Lutheran Church.At the beginning of the Revolutionary War, George Jr. relocated to North Carolina and served in the Continental Army from that state.After the war, he returned to Pennsylvania, married Catharine (last name unknown) in Philadelphia about the year 1783 then moved back to North Carolina, settling in Lincoln County.They had the following children all born in N.C.:Sally, Henry, Peggy, John, Elizabeth 1785, George 1794 and Polly 1797.In the 1830's, George Jr. together with his son George III and his family moved to Rockcastle County, Kentucky where George Jr. died on Oct. 20, 1841. George Sigmon III married Elenor Hitz in North Carolina sometime before 1825.They had the following:Martin 1825, Sophia 1827, Alexander 1832, David 1834, Surelda 1836, Bird 1838, James Logan 1839, Rhoda Ann 1842 and John 1844.George III moved with his father to Rockcastle County, Kentucky sometime in the 1830's. David Sigmon married Rebecca Murray and had William 1866 and Alice 1869.Hope this helps!
