Simons from Horsleydown, England to Glenelg, South Australia
I'm tracing the Simons who came out to Australia in 1836 on the 'Coromanel'.John Cornelius Simons (apparently) was the first white child born under the gum tree at the tent city of Glenelg, SA.His parents were Joseph Simons and Jane Catherine Carey.Joseph also came over here to Australia with his brother William Slade Simons. There father was William Simons born abt. 1769, died 4 Aug 1833 in Horsleydown, Surey, England he married Judith Bull 9 Mar 1802 in Rotherhithe, Surrey.I can't seem to find anything further back than here.If anyone can help, that would be most appreciated,
thanks
