Jeanne,
Since I never found any Flowers family in Monogalia Co, VA which could be the parents of Sarah Flowers, who married Moses Sine, the Benjamin and Elizabeth Flowers of Greene Co, PA. seems very likely.
According to the Journal of Christy Sine (brother of Moses),
their family moved from York Co, PA to Fayette Co, PA in October 1804, and then moved on to Greene County PA in summer 1810.(This matches exactly my research in the Fayette Co, PA tax records)
So Moses Sine (b. Jan 1793) would have been in Greene County, PA. from 1810 to at least 1814 when his father then moved to Monongalia Co. VA.We know his wife Sarah Flowers was born May 1799.This does match the approximate age of Sarah daughter of Benjamin Flowers of Greene County.
Although the scenario seems to me now very likely, of course we need some more proof.Next research needs to be the Greene County tax records for that time period, (1807-1818) looking for William and Moses Sine, and Benjamin and widow Elizabeth Flowers.
I haven't been back to Waynesburg to research tax records since Sept 11, 2001.
