Mary Anne, I think of I can be of help with your line as it links back to mine.My ggg grandfather Benjamin Siner was born 1759 somewhere...(Possibly his parents were Joseph and Mary Small Siner who were married in 1750 in Middlesex County, Virginia.)
Benjamin had 11 children, one of whom was our ancestor Nelson Siner who married Desdamona Shelburne Siner.(The town of Shelburn, Indiana, was named for her brother Paschal Shelburn.)Nelson (1806--1868) had 8 children.One was John Lawson Siner who was my g grandfather.Another was your line Shelbury Dale Siner (1827--1895) who married Sarah McClanahan.One of their children was Nelson Theodore Siner (1855--1919) who married Josephine McKee.They moved to Anthony, Kansas in the early 1880's.They had 4 children:Clude Elmer, Kenneth James, Herschel David, Samuel Loren, and Clarence Alfred.Samuel Loren married Nora Mae Stubbs in 1912.He died in Portland, Oregon (1892--1961).As you know, one of his sons was Stubbs Loren Siner who married Dorothy Cline.Stubbs had written to me from his home in Portland, Oregon.He was quite interested in genealogy.He had visited the home of the late Richard Buck who wrote 4 large histories of the Shelburn(e) family and was quite impressed with Richard's organization.I don't want to bore you with too much information.It is nice to communicate with other's interested in the Siner family line.You may e-mail me at [email protected]
