possinger, amandue, of jackson twp. monroe co. he was born there, oct. 11, 1837. his grandfather, john possinger was a native of bucks co.. he married elizabeth handeline. children; 3 sons and 3 daus.

joseph possinger, father,was born feb. 4, 1802. he married margaret becker, native of jackson twp., d/o henry becker. children; rosanna, widow of philip frailey, sarah ann, w/o sebastian singer of pocono twp., peter of bradford co., john of jackson, amandus, subject, joseph of jackson, catharine, w/o godfrey ruff, of bradford, margaret, who died age 31, and edwin died in infancy. the father died july 17, 1877 and the mother on feb. 10, 1885.

on march 20, 1864, mr. possinger married mary a. william, who dies dec. 3, 1892, leaving children; edward of jackson twp., emma, wf of w. b. morton, living in cleveland, ohio, and minnie a. wf of n.d. kresge of cleveland.mr. possinger married 2nd aug. 31, 1897 to mrs. mary (sheitz) singer, widow of elias singer and d/0 john shietz. she was born in chestnut hill, feb. 9, 1837.

peter learn, grandfather, he died in 1880, six months of being 90. his wife, margaret starner, died age 73. children; amos, sallie w/o david edinger, of bradford co, jacob, and morris of iowa

jacob learn, father, was born jan. 22, 1824, in pocono twp. he married mary a. werkheiser. children; peter of bradford co. , catharine married charles singer, henry, subject, margaret, w/o george butz

our subject's mother was born april 15, 1824 in hamilton twp., d/o henry werkheiser and his wf. catharine ( arnold) children, mary a., john, betsy, hannah, henry and abraham.

sheriff learn was born april 27, 1849, in 1869 he married ella walters, who died in 1884 and on nov. 26, 1895 he married mrs. anna shook nee brown. of the 2 children by his 1st marriage, 1. herber w. married cora singer and had 2 children, (walter and mary), 2. john a. who was not married.

henry, william, of paradise twp., monroe co. he was born in pocono twp., 1819, s/o arthur and sarah (posten) henry.

in aug. 1851 mr. henry married elizabeth beaker, d/o john and elizabeth (anthony) beaker.children; george and henry lived in reeders, felix of bradford co, sarah, wf of adam bender, emma wf of jacob singer, of gouldsboro, and elisabeth, widow of subject.

buskirk, joseph, subject, jackson twp.
the family name was originally van buskirk.

joseph buskirk, was born oct. 19, 1854 in jackson twp. he married maria gantzhorn, who died leaving one child, maranda, born july 23, 1878 and she married clinton h. kautz, of stroudsburg, and they had one son, harold b. born nov 25, 1899. mr. buskirk again married 2nd to susanna fellenser, d/o peter and mary (marsh) fellensen. her grandfather, peter fellenser was a native of hamilton twp.. peter fellenser, jr was born march 22, 1808, he married mary marsh, also a native, and d/o jacob and mary (cress) marsh. children, joseph, 1840, catharine, 1842, w/o john miller, samuel, 1844, hannah, 1846 w/o jeremiah miller of wind gap., susanna, wf of subject, elizabeth 1850, wf of edward singer, of east stroudsburg, sarah c., 1852, wf of john nixon, lydia, 1854 wf of john b. elliot and peter e. born july 21, 1857, of bangor, who married alta, d/o john singer, of jackson twp.
