To: Ron Fields:
Please tell us more about this Edward Sizemore who married a Martha Fields. Where did they reside - TN? KY?

One researcher has indicated that Edward Sizemore (ca.1774/1778 - 1856), son of George All Sizemore and wife Agnes Shepherd of Clay Co, KY, fathered a child by Martha Fields and that said child was:
Isaac Fields b. 15 Feb. 1808, d. 20 July 1887,
m. Alcy Day, 21 Mar. 1830, Harlan Co, KY

I have no information to either prove or disprove that information. This Edward Sizemore was married to Louanna Bowling.
Some of Edward and Louanna's Sizemore descendants filed Eastern Cherokee Applications with the U.S. Court of Claims in 1906-1907 in an unsuccessful attempt to obtain Indian benefits.

While it is not part of your question, you might also be interested in another Sizemore/Fields liaison:
William Sizemore (1780-1877) son of Edward Sizemore who died in Hawkins County, TN by 1810, was married first to Esther Anderson by whom he had at least five children. While married to Esther he also fathered several children in Hawkins County by a neighbor Jedida Fields during the 1810-1821 time frame. When William moved from Hawkins, TN to Randolph Co, IN in 1834, Jedida Fields and family also moved there. Both families later moved to Grant Co, IN.William's wife Esther Anderson died in 1850, and he then married Jedida Fields on 25 Nov. 1850.

After Jedida's death, William married on 13 July 1866 as his 3rd wife - Argent Anderson, and a year later: William age 87 and Argent about age 50 had a son George Sizemore.Hard as that seems to believe,it seems confirmed by documentation. In the 1900 Randolph, IN census George Sizemore age 32 and wife Rachel have living with them Argent Sizemore age 82 widow born Apr. 1817 and listed as George's Mother. Also in 1813 when William's son by Esther Anderson - Edward Sizemore (ca.1822-1913) died, his will mentions his half brother George Sizemore.
